Do you agree that metrics on human capital value can add value to financial statements? Can you imagine yourself, or the CFO of your organization, reporting on an organization’s human capital financial statement? Could the triple bottom line I have been reading about, that is, financial, social, and environmental soon become the quadruple bottom line? There is a great article in CFO Magazine by David McCann titled Power from the People that takes an in-depth look at how human capital financial statements would try to accomplish the goal of measuring the value of their employees.
